The Prime Minister ordered immediate uninterrupted power supply to the villages

Sharifa Akhter Swarna:
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given orders to provide uninterrupted power supply to villages due to the sudden increase in electricity load shedding in rural areas. After the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of the prime minister, the state minister gave this information to reporters at the secretariat on Monday afternoon.
Referring to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's order for quick and uninterrupted power supply to villages, the state minister said, "We have to do some load shedding in some parts of the country." Especially in rural areas. We have been observing this for a month. Several of our power plants, especially oil based power plants, are closed. We are introducing them gradually. We are now in a good position to monitor things like there was a shortage of oil, there was a shortage of money.
Nasrul Hamid said, "These issues have been discussed in the parliament. In general, everyone, who are members of Parliament, honorable Prime Minister is also aware. Prime Minister has directed us to provide uninterrupted electricity to rural areas as soon as possible. We are making that arrangement.
Why load-shedding despite the highest production record? In response to the questions of the journalists, the state minister said, 'The highest production record is also the highest demand. There is a difference in that. Because, this time you have seen the highest temperature in the history of the last 50 years. None of us were prepared for that temperature.
He said, "As far as we can produce electricity, everything has been done. We also tried to go above it. We could. But the problem is money and oil resources. These two things must be coordinated. In the time it took us to do that, we had to do load shedding in many places, in many rural areas.
Nasrul Hamid said that he saw zero load shedding on Monday. It is slowly decreasing. Our power plants are coming up. Those who were supposed to bring oil could not bring it. They were late. Due to the shortage of imported oil, the production of one and a half thousand megawatts has been disrupted. We have taken initiatives to increase production by coordinating fuel from domestic sources (BPC). The power plants that were closed due to lack of energy are slowly coming back into production.
Nasrul Hamid said in response to the question that if the electricity supply is increased in the villages, load shedding will increase in the city, I don't think there should be a system of load shedding somewhere else. But I think we are in a better position than before.
Stating that there are financial and energy problems, the State Minister of Power said that this problem is reducing a lot. Load shedding in villages will also gradually reduce. More electricity is used in summer. The country has recorded the highest power generation, and the demand is also there.
