BSTI raid in Chatmohar, Pabna: Collection of fines

BSTI is gaining a good reputation by carrying out continuous campaigns across the country. Organizations are also taking enough precautions to produce quality products now. Following this, the Rajshahi BSTI office has closed substandard factories one by one in the area under its jurisdiction. Compulsory licensing has forced companies to produce quality products. BSTI Rajshahi has won the praise of the people.

Local businessmen said that Rajshahi BSTI is a competent group of Assistant Director (CM) Aslam Sheth, Assistant Director (CM) Debbrat Biswas, Assistant Director (Metrology) Abdul Hannan, Assistant Director (Metrology) Mizanur Rahman, Field Officer Aminul Islam, Bogra BSTI Officer Engineer Junayed. Ahmed's reputation is now on the lips of every businessman in Rajshahi division. On the one hand they are like the heart of the masses and on the other the terror of the criminals. In their continuous raids, substandard products have been stopped. Common people are enjoying the benefits.

Following this, mobile court operation of BSTI was conducted at Chatmohar in Pabna district on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. M/s Bipasa Biscuit Bakery, Baluchar, Chatmohar, Pabna was fined Tk 10000.00 as per BSTI Act 2018 for producing and marketing bread products by providing false information on the packaging. For the same crime, M/s Eagle Foods was fined Rs 10,000.00 and Badsha Oil Mills, Afratpara, Chatmohar, Pabna were fined Rs 2,000.00. BSTI Rajshahi sources said that a total fine of Rs 40,000.00 was collected in the raid.

Rajshahi BSTI informed that a mobile court operation was conducted in various areas of Chatmohar Upazila in the joint initiative of Chatmohar Upazila Administration and BSTI Divisional Office Rajshahi. Under the leadership of the learned Executive Magistrate and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Mr. Tanzina Khatun, Mr. Debbrat Biswas, Assistant Director (CM) and Mr. Md. Aminul Islam, Field Officer (CM) were present as the prosecuting officer. Rajshahi BSTI said that the operation of BSTI Divisional Office Rajshahi will continue in public interest.
