Filmy-style shooting took place in front of Gloria Jeans coffee shop near Gulshan-1 Gol Chatwar in connection with the incident of money transaction in Gulshan of the capital. According to eyewitnesses and Gulshan Thana police sources, the accused Abdul Wahid Mintu (46), a person named Awami League, fired these shots. But his pistol is licensed. Later, through the glass, he saw a man wearing a red t-shirt and jeans walking in the empty parking lot between the main road and the shop with a small weapon raised. By that time, countless people gathered on the main road. Some even try to catch him. At this point he looked up and fired four more rounds. He threatened to shoot him too if anyone went there.
The witness also said that while this was going on outside, a person from inside called the National Emergency Service 999 at 4:08 am. A large number of policemen arrived at the spot within 3-4 minutes after receiving the information. When he was asked to surrender, he surrendered. He was later handcuffed. The policemen then interrogated the people inside the coffee shop. It was asked if anyone had any type of firearm there. Meanwhile, many senior police officials came to the spot. When the situation came under control, the police left the place with the shot man.
